Our story
Inaugurated over 35 years ago, ClÃnica Ipiranga began its activities offering patients several medical specialties, including Orthopedics, led by Dr. Walter Barbosa. For many years, the clinic was the private practice that supported the Orthopedics Service of Beneficência Portuguesa.
Adding strength to the orthopedic team, after completing the Fellows in the USA, Drs. Paulo Roberto Barbosa and Paulo Fernando Lourenço increased the body of specialists from 1994 onwards.

The Ipiranga Orthopedic Center — COI , it emerged within the multidisciplinary and renowned Ipiranga Clinic in the 2000s, acting as a support office for the orthopedic postoperative period at the then recently opened Hospital Quinta D'Or.
With the end of the activities of Beneficência Portuguesa, the Centro Ortopédico Ipiranga — COI began , segmenting the Clinic's care and directing patients with injuries to the musculoskeletal system.

Continuamos com os atendimentos com horário marcado e contando com especialistas em quadril, joelho, pé e tornozelo, ombro e cotovelo, além do nosso setor de reabilitação e Pilates, que agora têm um espaço de atuação amplo e pronto para recebê-los com a melhor qualidade.

Currently, the IOC has 8 specialties and 11 specialists.
